State Children's Health Insurance Program

If you make too much money to qualify for Medicaid but cannot afford to buy private health insurance, you might be able to get State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). It is a joint state and federal program that provides insurance for children of qualifying families.

Eligibility and health care coverage varies according to each state. Most states have income limit. So if your income goes over the limit, then you won't qualify.
